USA men's volleyball coach Alan Knipe said on Tuesday his team were motivated to win another gold at London 2012.

"I think the best thing you can do is focus on yourselves, and what you can do. You're always going to play really good teams, and I think, in my opinion, when you lose matches you lose because of yourself, you allow yourself to get beaten and you lose focus on what you're supposed to be doing, the technique you've worked so hard to achieve. Definitely the other teams have a role in that too. There's a bunch of great teams. We have five great teams in our pool, and on the other side there's six others. They all qualified for a reason, and it'll be a battle."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Knipe, USA men's volleyball coach: 
"These guys - yeah, they have won a gold - and they are true champions. But more importantly, they are true professionals, and when I say true professionals, that means they expect a lot out of themselves every single day. They want to get better, and they understand that to get better they have to train hard, they have to train often, they have to take care of themselves, and they have to use every resource possible to them, and that resource - the best thing we can do as coaches, especially at this point, is plan well for them, plan this tournament well, plan the training well, plan their rest time well, manage all the external factors that are going on to make sure that they can prepare for the match and provide accurate and detailed information of our opponents and our game plan to them, because there has been trust built up obviously over the four years that we're all in this together."
