    Fresh from their Europa League triumph Atletico Madrid striker Falcao and his team were presented to Colombian President, Juan Manuel Santos, on Wednesday (May 16th) in Bogota.

    The team are touring Colombia at the moment and between games got to meet the Colombian head of state and some school children.

    The President was full of praise for the two-time Europa League winner, as well as fellow Colombian and team mate in Spain, Luis Perea.

    SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Juan Manuel Santos, Colombian President:

    "Perea, Falcao, to all Atletico Madrid, but specially to our compatriots - they have fulfilled us with pride and optimism. When we see you playing, scoring goals or defending, it makes us feel more Colombian and more proud."

    The 26-year-old striker scored a total of 36 goals in 50 appearances for Atletico Madrid, a club record for a player in their first season.
