Intro:
Germany's beach volleyball team have been going through the paces in the sun of Fuerteventura as they look ahead to the Olympics in London.
Script:
The golden sands of Fuerteventura are a nice place to spend a relaxing Spring day.
And when the sun sets, it doesn't look too bad to get some promo shots in ahead of the London Olympics.
That is exactly what the German Beach Volleyball team have been up to.
2008 European champions Laura Ludwig and Sara Goller will swap the real beach for Horseguard's Parade this summer - that is if Goller shakes off a lingering shoulder injury.
SOUNDBITE: (German) Laura Ludwig
"Sara has a dragging pain in her shoulder, but she's not as young anymore as she used to be… (laughing). Yes, but it will go well in the end. And she's also a type of person who fights it out."
It is not only the women who will be competing - Julius Brink and Jonas Reckermann will also spike for gold in London.
As fifth seeds, Brink is looking forward to having a realistic chance of topping the podium.
SOUNDBITE: (German) Julius Brink
"It's definitely going to be the highlight of our careers. We are now both at an age, where we certainly can deliver our best performance and we're also in the physical shape for it. We have miscellaneous experiences of the Olympics and London really is a sensational city, a great metropolis in the middle of Europe. A lot of our friends can visit us there, the expectations are high and I'm really looking forward to it."
It is not all work when it comes to beach volleyball though - the guys got some more photos in before the day was out.
It will be up to them if the Germans can are to be snapped with medals around their necks in August.
