The cheeky Manchester United defender has managed to get the toy - which is thought to be the team's new unofficial mascot - into a number of squad pictures over the past few days.
According to the Mail, the lion does not yet have a name and it's unclear as to why Smalling has taken responsibility for it.
It's thought however, that it may be a joke forfeit for poor performance in training.
Will the lion act as a good-luck charm for Roy's boys this summer in France?
