Jamie Vardy's WhatsApp pic spotted in Rebekah texts branded 'damaging' for The Simpsons

Jamie Vardy's WhatsApp has become the latest highlight of the Wagatha Christie trial after his unique profile picture was spotted in messages to wife Rebekah Vardy.
Hundreds of files from the seven-day trial at London's High Court between WAGs Rebekah and Coleen Rooney have been released after their respective lawyers agreed to make the evidence public.
Amongst the documents is screenshots of communication between Leicester City striker Jamie and Rebekah from 2016, which had eagle-eyed fans in stitches when they noticed the picture which he used on the social media platform WhatsApp. One Twitter user asked: "Is Jamie Vardy's whatsapp picture him mocked up in the Simpsons?"
It was indeed with another person posting: "Absolutely losing my mind that Jamie Vardy's WhatsApp picture is apparently him as a Simpson's character in full Leicester kit. Need the full-res version pronto."
"Vardy's WhatsApp picture haha," commented one fan while Evening Standard journalist Lucy Tobin joked: "Well this is damaging for The Simpsons' brand."

In the texts, Rebekah sent her 'Hubby' an article from the Independent with the title 'Wayne Rooney holds talks with Jamie Vardy to ensure his wife Rebekah doesn't distract England squad'. She wrote: "Seriously????"
Jamie replied: "No not at all babes x."
Rebekah: "T**** trying to make me into a scapegoat x."
Jamie: "F****** a***holes x."
After sending another report that said Rooney had asked Vardy to make sure his wife 'lowered her profile during Euro 2016', Rebekah continued: "Jesus... This must have come from somewhere. Bet it's his Mrs manager x."
Jamie: "Haha no1 said a word, probably the bloody FA."
Rebekah: "Joke, makes my blood boil X."
Jamie: "Papers for u with nothing better to do cos they got no stories x."
Rebekah: "Exactly not fair to pick on me though w****** x."
Jamie: "That's all they ever do. It's like attack us as much as possible x."
Rebekah: "Yep I know X."
Jamie: "Build us up to smash us back down x."
Rebekah: "Yeah exactly t**** X."
Jamie: "F*** them they ain't bringing us down x."
Rebekah: "Not a**** babe x."
Jamie: "Me neither babes x."
Judge Mrs Justice Steyn is now considering the evidence from both sides before delivering her decision on whether Rebekah was libelled or not by Coleen in her bombshell 2019 social media post.
