GARY NEVILLE has mocked Jamie Carragher after the Liverpool legend squirmed live on air when Alisson made a huge blunder in their defeat to Manchester City.

The Reds keeper suffered a calamitous mix-up with defender Fabinho before then gifting the ball to City which led to Gundogan netting his and City's second goal.

Alisson committed more errors leading to a goal v Man City (2) than in his previous 54 @premierleague games 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙

And Neville reveled in Carragher's dismay as he instantly called him out for his reaction.

Speaking about the hilarious moan by his colleague, Neville said: "You may have heard Carragher yelp, and he's on his knees next to me here!

"That noise will be my ringtone for the next week. Can you do it again?"

Alisson then went on to make another horrendous blunder just three minutes later.

The Brazilian shot-stopper, who has been so reliable for Jurgen Klopp's men since joining in 2018, gave possession away in an identical way to moments earlier, before Bernardo Silva's chip was headed home by Raheem Sterling.

Alisson's two major errors effectively killed the game, with man of the match Phil Foden adding insult to injury seven minutes from time with a stunning fourth goal.

The victory for City means they are now ten points clear of Liverpool with a game in hand.

The result was also a third successive home Premier League defeat for Liverpool following previous losses to Burnley and Brighton.

This dreadful run at Anfield comes after they had gone an incredible three and a half years without a single league defeat at home.

Meanwhile, it is a thoroughly successful weekend for Man City after title rivals Manchester United and Leicester City also dropped points.
