MESUT OZIL was offered a role in the BT Sport studio as a pundit after revealing he was watching Arsenal on TV.
The Gunners playmaker, on £350,000 a week, has been frozen out of the side's Premier League and Europa League squads.
Ozil has been axed from the Arsenal squad by boss Arteta
Ozil, 32, penned a blistering social media statement savaging his club for a lack of 'loyalty'.
But he indicated he was still desperate for them to do well when he tweeted he was watching their clash against Rapid Vienna from home - while making a joke about having no work to do.
It was then that BT Sport host Jake Humphrey replied offering him a spot in the studio.
Ozil tweeted: "When I can't support on the pitch tonight, I will support in front of the TV in London."
The World Cup winner then asked fans for their score predictions before going for a 4-1 win and posting a mock gif of himself pretending to work.
Humphrey saw Ozil's post and quickly responded: "Join us in the studio next Thursday?"
And he added on TV: "Mesut, this is an open invitation… if next Thursday you want to come and join us, the offer is there."
Ozil - who could go to the MLS - was yet to respond but with the invite there and no games to prepare for, don't be surprised to see him take Humphrey up on his offer.
Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Martin Keown said Ozil's omission showed he is 'not welcome' at Arsenal anymore.
The Gunners icon said: "When you don't get named in the 25 you're basically being told you're not welcome, you're not part of the future.
"I think it's extremely sad. He's a quality player and when someone is technically gifted like that it has to be an application thing.
"It's a real shame that it couldn't be worked out."
Fellow pundit Owen Hargreaves said it was a 'shame' such a decorated superstar had no part to play.
He added: "We're talking about a guy who's won the World Cup and done it on the biggest stage, and it's a shame that he can't play football.
"He should be in the Premier League squad, he should be in the Europa League squad. He isn't, probably for other reasons that he knows, and the club knows."
