Ex-Arsenal star Nicklas Bendtner claims hiring sex workers was rife among pros – even the night before games

FORMER Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner claims the hiring of sex workers was rife among his fellow professionals — even the night before a game.

Bendtner says many players prefer to pay for sex than hook up with “gold-diggers” who might blackmail them.

His explosive new book refers to Wayne Rooney, 34, sleeping with prostitutes as well as Kyle Walker’s lockdown sex party.

Other X-rated liaisons include Israel’s national team’s night with sex workers after a match in 1999, and Brazilian ace Ronaldo, 44, taking three to his hotel in 2008.

But Nicklas, 32, believes they were just “unlucky” the news got out — because seeing prostitutes is “a widespread phenomenon in professional football”.

He said: “They’ve only been caught red-handed with their pants down. Believe me, everyone in my industry has heard of someone who’s been at it, especially in England where it’s a grand old tradition to share your cock-and-ball stories with a full audience.”

The Dane said there was a simple reason why paying prostitutes was so attractive to players, especially those in a relationship.

PROSTITUTES 'LESS RISKY'

He said: “It’s less risky than picking up girls while out on the town. And if you’re prone to infidelity — I read somewhere or other this applies to 46 per cent of Danes — you hardly dare do the deed with a ‘civilian’ any longer.

“Not when you’re a famous footballer. I know about loads of incidents involving prostitutes. But I know of just as many stories about extortion via social media.

"We’re talking about gold-diggers from the nightlife scene who are up for a f*** and then take a photo of you sleeping it off while you’re starkers.

“With those photos as their trump card, they can demand stuff to keep their mouths shut. And they do. It’s not exactly iron-clad, but at least prostitutes have a business of sorts to protect.

“So yeah, I’ve witnessed that at first hand. Even the day before a match when the team were gathered at the hotel in some godforsaken place.”

Bendtner, who dated royal Dane Baroness Caroline Iuel-Brockdorff, says he was forced to pay for one woman’s boob job in 2009, when he was a regular for Arsenal.

He also revealed his car was vandalised and his clothes thrown on to the street by angry women.

He said: “One of the girls I’ve been with comes back and claims I’ve got her pregnant. That there’s a price if she’s going to do something about it. ‘And what does that mean?’

"I ask. ‘It means you’ve got to pay for a pair of new boobs for me. I want my t*****s fixed,’ she says.

“So I end up paying for her trip to the cosmetic surgeon. Another night, a girl chucks a cobblestone through the back window of one of my Porsches.

“I’m up in the apartment, and I can hear her shouting and screaming, but I don’t go outside. There’s nothing to talk about. She’s p***ed off because I don’t want to keep seeing her.

“On a third night, a girl checks my phone while I’m asleep. I guess she finds out I’ve got a few others on the go besides her.

“The next morning she’s gone. So are my clothes. They’ve been thrown out of the window and are lying on the footpath.”

In his autobiography, From Both Sides, Bendtner details his time playing for Arsenal, who he signed for as a teenager, plus stints at Birmingham and Sunderland.

He calls it a “feat to stay 100 per cent squeaky clean” and admitted getting into “incomprehensible stuff”, including playing hotel sex games with teammates.

He recalled: “We weren’t going home until the next day and once the hotel corridor fell silent two of us snuck down to the bar. We got talking to some local girls.

“Suddenly we decided to skinny dip in the indoor pool. It turned out the pool had a slide and before we knew it we’d started our own internal competition.

“One couple would judge the other on the way down the slide — while having sex in every possible position.

“At the next training session, my mate showed up with his knees glowing bright red. He’d torn up his skin when he took his girl doggy style.”

Bendtner left England in 2014 before returning for a brief stint with Nottingham Forest in 2016. He is now back in his native Denmark playing for Tårnby FF.
