Ryan Woods sits out as Millwall take on parent club Stoke

Midfielder Ryan Woods will be missing as Millwall launch their Sky Bet Championship campaign against Stoke.
The 26-year-old is on loan at the Den from the Potters and is ineligible to play against his parent club.
Tottenham striker Troy Parrott, who like Woods will spend the season at the Championship club, remains a doubt with the muscle injury which forced him to withdraw from the Republic of Ireland squad for the Nations League fixtures against Bulgaria and Finland.
Full-back Mahlon Romeo is also struggling, while midfielder Billy Mitchell’s knee injury will sideline him for several weeks. Keeper Frank Fielding has returned to light training.
Stoke boss Michael O’Neill could hand league debuts to four summer signings against the Lions.
Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Steven Fletcher, who was used as a substitute in last weekend’s Carabao Cup first round victory over Blackpool, is available after recovering from a groin problem and could be included along with one-time Owls team-mate Morgan Fox.
Midfielder John Obi Mikel, who has joined City from Trabzonspor, and ex-Barnsley frontman Jacob Brown will also be in the mix.
However, defender Ryan Shawcross is unlikely to be involved as he continues his quest for full match fitness.
