EDEN HAZARD has become the latest football superstar to ditch his hairs and graces in a bid to lift spirits amid the coronavirus crisis.

The Real Madrid midfielder revealed a head shaved brutally closely, much like Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial, now that lockdowned players seem to be getting their scissor-kicks out of hairstyles rather than toilet-roll juggling.

Barber Ahmed Alsanawi - better known as the A-Star Barber - posted a photo of Hazard with a dazzling smile, perhaps trying to distract attention from his grim trim.

But the ex-Chelsea main man had no time to mullet over as Bernabeu stars are on a strict fitness regime in their homes, with Spain severely hit by Covid-19.

LaLiga was snip and tuck before football's enforced break, Real just two points behind champions Barcelona.

And club chiefs hope their players will return to action - whenever that be - as near to match sharpness as possible.

But nothing can match tactics gleamed from team training or the intensity gained in competitive games.

And now Belgium ace Hazard, 29. cannot even swap one type of curlers for another after his austree crop.

For the moment he looks more beast of Eden than heavenly playmaker as he was at Stamford Bridge - until a £130milion move to the Bernabeu last summer that has left him struggling to match his Premier League swagger.

But as a recurring ankle injury has limited Hazard to just nine league starts and one goal this campaign, he insists his form next term will be to dye for.

Marca report him as saying: "My first season in Madrid is bad, but not in its entirety.

"It is an adaptation season. I will be judged in the second.

"It is up to me to be in good shape next year. The group is good.

"For me it has been a great experience. I still have four years on my contract."

Now he might help his bleak hairstyle somehow boosts his form. Otherwise it might be a case of "Whoops, a crop is not bliss".
