The coronavirus has led to the suspension of the Premier League until the beginning of April.
English football could lose a massive ï¿¡10billion if the season doesn’t continue after being suspended because of the coronavirus epidemic worldwide.
Another meeting is scheduled for Thursday with the Premier League set to discuss the next steps in salvaging the current campaign.
And with the government posted to ban all gatherings of large groups it could be curtains for the season with Liverpool 25 points clear at the top of the table.
It will mean any chance of the current Premier League and EFL seasons being finished extremely slim and it could mean a monumental bill.
The Daily Star say the loss of TV rights money, matchday revenue, European and domestic cup cash prize money could top the ï¿¡1bn mark.
However, on top of that, club values have plummeted in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
Manchester United have had ï¿¡613m wiped off their share price in the last three weeks with the volatility of the stock markets.
That is an unprecedented 25 per cent crash and if you factor in the similar issues with all other clubs in the Premier League that loss soars to ï¿¡9bn.
Each and every day the crisis goes on will hurt English football with no end in sight.
The Covid-19 disease is causing havoc and it could end with legal disputes with the likes of Leeds and West Brom potentially missing out on promotion to the Premier League.
TV money alone would be ï¿¡150m down for the duo if they were forced to carry on in the Championship.
The breakdown of potential loss facing football in this country is staggering.
Of course a crunch meeting between UEFA members on Tuesday and a potential delay of Euro 2020 could mean the saving of the domestic seasons.
