Premier League giants Manchester United have this evening confirmed that youngster Tahith Chong has finally committed his future to the club, by putting pen-to-paper on a new contract.
United starlet
20-year-old winger/forward Chong has long been regarded as one of the finest young talents on the books of the Red Devils.
The Dutch teen made the move to Manchester from Feyenoord in the summer of 2016, and has since gone on to star at youth level for United.
Chong is recognised for his touch, ability to beat opposing defenders and eye for goal, traits all highlighted by the starlet's eye-catching haul of 5 goals and 5 assists across 6 Premier League 2 appearances this season.
The Netherlands U21 international has also been rewarded for his stellar exploits at youth level with fleeting appearances as part of United's first-team.
All told, Chong has featured for the Red Devils' senior side on 14 occasions, 9 of which have come under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.
Chong commits
And the faith placed in Chong's talents by Red Devils boss Solskjaer has today paid off.
As outlined above, despite widespread speculation surrounding his future (Chong's contract was due to expire in the summer), the prodigious talent has today committed his future to Manchester United.
In a post across the club's social media platforms a short time ago, the Premier League giants confirmed that Chong has put pen-to-paper on a new deal, set to keep him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2022:

Speaking on the back of inking his new contract, the Dutchman provided an insight into his decision to continue his development with United:
When I joined Manchester United as a youngster, it was a dream come true. It is an honour every time I pull on the shirt and represent this club. I am working hard every day to improve and I know this is the perfect environment to develop my game.
The opportunity to learn from the manager, his coaching staff and the world-class players here is fantastic. I am delighted to sign this new contract and really grateful for the chance to prove myself here for many years to come.
