Southend should have Sam Mantom and Jason Demetriou available for Saturday’s clash with Bristol Rovers.
Both players missed last weekend’s defeat by Oxford, Mantom with a thigh injury and Demetriou with an ankle problem, but are expected to return.
Winger Stephen McLaughlin went off against Oxford with a knee injury but has recovered. Joe Shaughnessy (ankle) and Timothee Dieng (hamstring) could miss out. Harry Kyprianou is also a doubt.
The Shrimpers are looking to end a six-game losing run.
Rovers are also in poor form having won just one of their last 17 games in all competitions.
Boss Ben Garner will check on the fitness of Jonson Clarke-Harris after he was forced off during last weekend’s loss to Shrewsbury.
Midfielder Abu Ogogo will again miss out as he serves the second game of a three-match suspension following his sending off against Sunderland.
James Daly made his debut as a substitute against Shrewsbury following his move from Crystal Palace and will hope to push for a start.
