Preston midfielder Alan Browne is an injury doubt for the home game against Millwall.
Browne sustained an ankle injury in the midweek win at Stoke and despite playing the full 90 minutes he could be rested.
Several other players could be rotated as Preston face their third game in eight days, with fit-again pair David Nugent and Paul Gallagher in contention to start.
Striker Louis Moult (knee), forward Billy Bodin (Achilles) and midfielder Tom Bayliss (ankle) remain sidelined.
Millwall boss Gary Rowett will assess several players following his side’s midweek home draw against Fulham.
Forward Mason Bennett, on loan from Derby, missed out on his debut for the club on Wednesday night due to a sore ankle.
Midfielder Shaun Williams was also unavailable with a hip problem, while defender James Brown has missed the last four matches.
Fellow midfielder Ryan Leonard could play a bigger role having stepped off the bench against Fulham following a knee injury.
