Injuries leave Newport short

Newport boss Michael Flynn will need to assess an escalating injury list ahead of Tuesday’s Sky Bet League Two game against Walsall.
Flynn was left reeling by the ineffectiveness of his team’s display as they lost 1-0 at home to Cambridge on Saturday.
And County went into that game without Mark O’Brien, George Nurse, Ryan Haynes, Ashley Baker and Matty Dolan because of injuries, with Flynn unsure how many might be available for Walsall’s visit to Rodney Parade.
Josh Sheehan, meanwhile, suffered a badly-gashed foot against Cambridge, and Flynn could contemplate first starts for recent loan signings Billy Waters and Otis Khan.
Walsall manager Darrell Clarke looks unlikely to tinker with a team that posted an impressive 2-1 win at Forest Green two days ago.
Clarke made one change for that game, calling up midfielder Stuart Sinclair for a first start since Boxing Day.
A reshuffle meant Wes McDonald dropped to the bench, only for him to score a superb second goal against Forest Green after going on, suggesting he could push for a start.
Walsall are level on points with Newport in mid-table, but they have played three games more than the Welsh club.
