Lawrence Shankland scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory for Dundee United at Partick Thistle.
The striker took his goal tally for the season to 24 as the Terrors opened up a 17-point advantage at the top of the Ladbrokes Championship over second-placed Inverness, whose match with Queen of the South fell victim to the weather.
Shankland opened the scoring with a glancing header in the 38th minute, before Adrian Sporle doubled the lead just short of half-time.
Sporle converted from close range after good work by Declan Glass, but Shankland stole the show after the break.
The 24-year-old capitalised on a defensive error to score his second of the match and completed his treble with a headed goal in the 65th minute.
Thistle pulled one back through Kenny Miller three minutes from time, but their fate had already been sealed by Shankland’s third hat-trick of the campaign.
