Chelsea prefer Lemar loan to save for summer Sancho move

Chelsea would prefer to sign Thomas Lemar on loan and then pursue Jadon Sancho in the summer, according to reports.

Atletico Madrid have offered Lemar to the Blues after he fell out of favour with Diego Simeone.

Tottenham are also interested and would provide competition for the World Cup winner's signature.

The Telegraph says Frank Lampard's top target is Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho, but with the move unlikely this month, securing Lemar is a viable option.

England international Sancho would cost Chelsea close to £100m in the summer.
