Notts County move closer to play-off places

Notts County joined the race for the Vanarama National League play-offs with a thumping 3-0 home win over Maidenhead.

The Magpies ran riot in the first half, Kyle Wootton opening the scoring with a header from Enzio Boldewijn’s 21st-minute corner.

A team passing move started from the back around the half-hour mark and, after Dion Kelly-Evans broke free down the right, he played in Samuel Osborne for a fine finish into the top corner.

Just before the break, Kristian Dennis steered Boldewijn’s low pass beyond Chris Dunn for 3-0.

Maidenhead shuffled their pack and avoided further pain in the second half, but County still enjoyed the better chances, with Dennis going closest to a fourth with a curling effort that was headed away.
