Barnsley could be without full-back Ben Williams for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship match at home to QPR.
The defender has a muscle problem and is a doubt for the game, which could allow fellow youngster Clarke Oduor to start at left-back.
Defender Aapo Halme missed the midweek draw with Reading because of an ankle problem and although he has returned to training, he remains a doubt.
Striker Mallik Wilks has been laid low by illness of late and has not played for the Tykes in over a month.
QPR boss Mark Warburton made one chance for the midweek win at Birmingham, where midfielder Luke Amos replaced Jordan Hugill.
Bright Osayi-Samuel should start again following the 21-year-old’s fine goal against the Blues.
Defender Yoann Barbet is close to a return after being out since the end of October with a hamstring problem and Angel Rangel should return to the squad for the clash with Barnsley.
Goalkeeper Liam Kelly (thigh) and midfielder Charlie Owens (knee) continue their own rehabilitation.
