There has been speculation the midfielder could be on his way out of the Bernabeu.

"I know Isco very well and I know that when it's his turn [to play], he performs very well. He shows the personality that he has.”

Roy Hodgson on Wilfried Zaha
Roy Hodgson believes there will be more transfer interest in Wilfried Zaha in January.
"We’ve never wanted to lose him," Hodgson said.
"But, when you’re Crystal Palace, and I think Burnley would regard themselves in the same situation, when a player does exceptionally well and there’s lots of clubs after them and prepared to pay big money, it’s not always that easy to keep hold of them.
"We can’t say to Wilf, ‘You’ve got to stay with us because we’ll be Champions League next year’.
"I’m happy that it didn’t materialise, I think he’s done exceptionally well to get over that and accept it and make certain he’s once again doing his level best for this club. Who knows, there might come a time in the future where we’re confronted with that situation again.
"But, until that day arrives, I’ll carry on working with him, being happy to be working with him and happy that we’ve got a player of his ability to help us win football matches.”

Man Utd have doubts over Shaw
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly has doubts about Luke Shaw, with the England international falling behind teenager Brandon Williams in the Old Trafford pecking order.
Shaw has never been able to achieve consistency at Manchester United and has made just 110 appearances for the club since his arrival from Southampton in 2014.
The England international has fallen behind teenage prodigy Williams in the pecking order at Old Trafford, sparking talk he could be set to leave.
And UniBet say that Solskjaer has doubts about the Manchester United star.
It’s claimed that they relate to his injury record and whether or not he’s physically capable of carrying out his manager’s orders.

Ljungberg on getting Arsenal job
Freddie Ljungberg is not worrying about taking permanent charge of Arsenal having been named caretaker manager of the club.
And as he prepares for his first match against Norwich, the former midfielder insists that is all he is focused on having been asked if he wants the job on a permanent basis.
Ljungberg told Sky Sports: “For me, it’s about the team and the club.
"I try to concentrate for the future, the game tomorrow, we’ll try to win that, maybe there’s a few other games, we’ll see but for me, that’s what I look at, other stuff is totally irrelevant.”

Fernandes stance on Man Utd and Tottenham
Bruno Fernandes still has the ambition to leave Sporting despite having signed a new deal.
The 25-year-old has agreed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2023, which includes a release clause of €100million (£85m).
However, according to the Daily Mail, this new deal does not change Fernandes' ambitions to leave and the new contract came about following and agreement that was already stipulated at the end of last season.
The only thing which has changed is that the attacking midfielder is now the highest paid payer in the Sporting squad, after he signed a new deal worth €2m (£1.7m) per season.
Manchester United and Tottenham have been linked with the player as both clubs are looking at strengthening their squads at his position.
Erling Haaland keen on Man Utd move
Erling Haaland remains interested in a possible transfer to play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United despite links with Spanish and Italian giants Real Madrid and Juventus.
Spanish outlet AS have claimed that United have an advantage in their transfer pursuit for the youngster, because he is excited about the idea of linking up with Solskjaer.
The former Manchester United striker handed Haaland his debut at Molde in 2017 and oversaw his progression until his move to Old Trafford in December.
The report goes on to suggest that the forward may be interested in the prospect of helping United return to being one of the best teams in world football after their struggles in recent seasons, but Solskjaer has not been keen to comment on the rumours.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacking backed
Manchester United have been told they should be rivalling Arsenal for Brendan Rodgers’ signature as the Red Devils aren’t good enough under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas told Sky Sports: “Man Utd are shocking defensively.
"David de Gea is not mentioned anymore - he is not making mistakes but he is not saving shots, which is what he came synonymous for.
"He has won the Player of the Year award many times for them, and some of that was under Mourinho and even Louis van Gaal.
"Nobody mentions him as a top-level player any more.
"Ashley Young has been found out that he was never a left-back or right-back, so why give him a contract? Seriously, Man Utd where are you going? Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood have been decent, but can they carry them along? Can Marcus Rashford do it? You cannot survive on 10 minutes of football.
"They don't want change, they want to build. They understand the youth, it will not be the Class of '92 because you will never get that again, but for now, the younger ones are good and helping.
"I do not know the philosophy for Man Utd but I think they will get over the line in this one. It is a needs-must kind of game.
"If Man Utd do not see off Villa, and with games against Tottenham and Manchester City coming up, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be in trouble and I think they should go for Brendan Rodgers too, along with Arsenal.”

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang to quit Arsenal?
Peter Crouch has hinted Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang could be considering his Arsenal future.
He told the Mail: “What must Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang be thinking?
"He is world-class and seems to keep a lid on his emotions, but playing in a half-empty stadium, losing to opponents who in previous years they would have swept aside, must have been demoralising.”

Solskjaer on Pogba rumours
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Paul Pogba is still loyal to Manchester United following recent transfer rumours.
Solskjaer said: “Every player is allowed to be injured when he's injured.
"Paul is working hard to be back and no-one can doubt his professionalism or his willingness or desire to play football.
"He's a footballer and he's also one of the best midfielders in the world, so it will be like signing a new player before the transfer window opens.
"Of course we've missed him while he's been away. Some of the players, like Scott McTominay and Fred, have taken up that [midfield] challenge and have done well but, of course, it's a boost for us when he comes back.
"He's stepping up his recovery and let's see how soon he'll be match-fit and available.
"Sunday? No. Spurs? I can't say because I've not been at home and seen him. Let's see where he's at when he comes back and starts training.
"He's not really been able to play for us so when we get him back it'll be like a new world-class signing. We want him back as soon as possible."

Rodgers responds to Arsenal links
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has responded to rumours linking him to the Arsenal job.
He said: "It’s natural that there are links.
"If you are doing okay people want to take you away from something you enjoy. If you’re not, it doesn’t matter.
"There’s always a number of names. We’re at the beginning of something here. My relationship with the people here and the players is very strong. We think we are starting something exciting.
"Arsenal is a fantastic club. One of the greats in this country. If the people at Arsenal have moved Unai on, I’m sure they have an idea of who they want to bring in.
"There’s disappointment whenever a coach loses his job. Unai has proved himself over a number of years. I have sympathy for him."

Arsenal open talks with Emery replacement
Arsenal have opened talks with Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo after sacking Unai Emery on Friday morning.
RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi claims discussions have already begun.
He tweeted: “Nuno Espirito Santo is the priority of #Arsenal to replace Emery. The discussions have already begun with his entourage.
"The Portuguese coach is very interested. In case of agreement Arsenal will have to compensate the Wolves.”

Man Utd readying Erling Haaland bid
Manchester United are ready to table an official bid for RB Salzburg striker Erling Haaland.
The Red Devils are desperate to bolster their attacking options and the 19-year-old Norwegian international is considered a top priority.
Italian publication Calciomercato claim Ed Woodward and Co. are prepared to offer £55million for the sought-after teenager, who’s scored 26 goals in 18 appearances this season.
The 13-time Premier League champions are eager to secure his signature in January to foil several other interested clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Liverpool signing backed
Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher has told Jurgen Klopp to sign a new forward in the the January transfer window. The Sky Sports pundit also discussed the idea of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho heading to Anfield.
He told Viasport: “I think Liverpool still lack one player which is an attacking player to really support the front three and almost make it like a front four.
"At the moment there’s still a big difference when one of the front three don’t play.
"We saw that at the weekend again when Salah was out – that time Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played in the front three and that didn’t work. We’ve seen [Divock] Origi that doesn’t work.
"Maybe there’s talk of a man in the Bundesliga coming to England from Borussia Dortmund, maybe he’s someone who Liverpool may be looking at in Sancho who a lot of other Premier League clubs are looking at.
"There has been some great signings for Liverpool in the past [in January]. You think of [Virgil] van Dijk, Luis Suarez, Daniel Agger was a great player for Liverpool, Daniel Sturridge is another one.
"I would like to see an attacking player come in someone with a bit more quality, maybe someone who could help them in the coming months going forward.
"I don’t think it’s an area which Klopp really looks at but I would expect it to be a really big summer for Liverpool especially considering they didn’t sign anyone last summer.”
