Sorba Thomas spot-kick earns Boreham Wood a point

Sorba Thomas struck a stoppage-time penalty as Boreham Wood snatched a 2-2 draw at Notts County in the National League.
Danish forward Justin Shaibu, on loan from Brentford, put Boreham Wood in front in the 15th minute, heading Kane Smith’s cross past County goalkeeper Sam Slocombe.
But Scunthorpe loanee Kyle Wootton equalised on the half-hour mark, heading in Richard Brindley’s cross for his fourth goal in as many games.
Another Wootton header, this time from a Wes Thomas delivery, put County ahead four minutes before the break.
The Magpies’ Enzio Boldewijn saw his second-half effort turned onto a post by Wood keeper Nathan Ashmore.
Just when County thought they had done enough to win the game, Connell Rawlinson was sent off for bringing down Kabongo Tshimanga and Thomas kept his nerve from the spot.
