Teenage striker Ricky-Jade Jones could make his first league appearance for Peterborough when they face Burton on Saturday.
Jones, linked heavily with Tottenham, is under consideration to replace the suspended Ivan Toney after scoring in the midweek FA Cup win over Stevenage, his second goal in as many outings this month.
Josh Knight faces a late fitness test after missing the match against Stevenage with a slight muscular problem, while Louis Reed is expected to get his place back from Niall Mason.
George Boyd has had a positive update on his knee injury but Saturday’s match is expected to come too soon.
Burton boss Nigel Clough must check on a number of players before the trip, but said the picture had improved since his side’s 4-1 FA Cup win over Salford.
John Brayford was substituted during that match with a knee injury and will face a fitness test.
Scott Fraser, David Templeton, Richard Nartey and Reece Hutchinson are also suffering with a variety of ailments.
Jake Buxton continues to struggle with a back injury.
