Clough facing selection headache ahead of Burton’s FA Cup replay against Salford

Burton boss Nigel Clough has a lengthy list of potential absentees to contend with ahead of Tuesday’s FA Cup first-round replay against Salford.
David Templeton (knee), John-Joe O’Toole and Jake Buxton (both back) were all forced off during last week’s Leasing.com Trophy loss to Mansfield and it remains to be seen whether any of them will be able to feature against Salford.
Lloyd Dyer has missed the last two matches with an ankle injury while Richard Nartey and Reece Hutchinson will be assessed ahead of the game.
Liam Boyce, Nathan Broadhead and Kieran O’Hara are all absent due to international call-ups.
Salford manager Graham Alexander could rotate his squad again, having made six changes for his side’s 3-2 loss to Swindon on Saturday.
Carl Piergianni, Sam Hughes, Danny Whitehead, Dan Jones and Brandon Thomas-Asante all lost their places having been involved in last Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Tranmere in the Leasing.com Trophy.
Captain Liam Hogan is a probable inclusion after scoring one of the goals at Prenton Park upon his return from injury.
Emmanuel Dieseruvwe is currently serving a suspension and is therefore unavailable.
