Willian wants out

Willian has decided to postpone extending his contract at Chelsea and push for a move to Barcelona.

That's according to reports in Mundo Deportivo, who claim the winger will let his contract run down instead of extending at the end of the season.

Willian can talk to foreign clubs in January ahead of a free transfer at the end of the season, and is reportedly willing to talk to Barca rather than stay at Chelsea.

Chelsea to fight Barcelona

Chelsea’s plan to rival Barcelona for Reinier will be put into action if their transfer ban is scrapped next week.

The Blues have put the highly-rated Flamengo ace on their list of targets as they gear up to make signings again.

And they might launch a £70m bid in January if their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is successful.

Chelsea will find out on Wednesday if they will be able to splash the cash in the new year - or have to wait until the summer.

Juventus transfer decision

Juventus have told Merih Demiral he can leave the Allianz Stadium when the transfer window opens in January.

Manchester United and Arsenal have been joined in the race for the centre-back by rivals Manchester City.

And the Premier League trio have been given the green light to duke it out for his signature in the new year.

Express Sport understands Juventus are prepared to do business at around the £35m mark.

Tahith Chong boost

Manchester United will speak with Tahith Chong about a new contract next week.

That’s according to the Metro, who claim the Red Devils are desperate to thwart interest from Italian giants Juventus.

Chong, 19, is out of contract at Old Trafford in June 2020 and he’ll be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club outside England from January onwards.

However, the report claims the teenager has been offered an improved £25k per week contract and United are confident he’ll sign it.

Player-plus-cash

Manchester United could give in to Real Madrid’s transfer demands if they follow through on a fresh player-plus-cash deal.

Los Blancos are desperate to hand Zinedine Zidane his main summer target in order to find some consistent form in what has been a difficult season.

President Florentino Perez is even willing to offer one of his most valuable players alongside a huge chunk of cash - according to new reports from Spain.

Eldesmarque have reported that Isco, alongside a one-off payment of £68.5million, will be put on the table for Ed Woodward to consider.

Eight-man shortlist

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has a list of eight players he may target in the January transfer window.

According to ESPN, United are prepared to spend in the New Year but only if their long-term targets are available to move at Old Trafford.

His eight-man list includes a number of big names but the one that really stands out is that of Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland.

Other players on Woodward’s list include winger Jadon Sancho, James Maddison, Callum Wilson, Declan Rice, John McGinn, Jack Grealish and Moussa Dembele.

Neymar to Barcelona

Neymar "will always be an option" for Barcelona.

That’s according to the club’s sporting director Eric Abidal, who attempted to engineer a deal for the Brazilian superstar last summer.

“A top player, who has a Barca philosophy and who is performing at a high level, will always be an option,” Abidal told Mundo Deportivo when asked about Neymar.

"From there, at the sports level we can make decisions, but the whole financial issue, there are things that you can reach and others that you cannot.

"The future will say. If it continues at this level, because the season is very long, I will not say that it will be option number 1 but it can be a clear option."

Ivan Rakitic deal

Barcelona are open to selling midfielder Ivan Rakitic in January.

But the Spanish champions won’t be allowing him to leave on the cheap.

The Croatian midfielder looks surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp with summer signing Frenkie de Jong ahead of him in the pecking order.

AC Milan are eager to secure his signature but Calciomercato claim Barcelona still value him at £30million, while the player still expects £125k per week.

Brad Young battle

Manchester United and Arsenal face a transfer battle over Hartlepool’s young goalkeeper Brad Young.

Both Premier League sides have been watching the 17-year-old, according to the Sun, and it is claimed he will demand a 'decent fee'.

The England youth international has impressed after signing a pro deal with Hartlepool in the summer.

At 6 ft 4 he stands out and has made an impression and United and Arsenal could battle it out for his signature as they look to secure a deal for the ‘keeper.

Wanted: Matheus Pereira

Manchester United have their sights set on signing Sporting Lisbon winger Matheus Pereira.

Pereira, 23, is enjoying a profitable loan spell with Championship leaders West Brom - netting three goals and providing nine assists in 15 appearances.

The Baggies have the option of making the deal permanent at the end of the season for £8.25million.

However, The Mirror claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants him at Old Trafford and is prepared to steal the player from Slaven Bilic’s side.

Arsenal swap plan

Arsenal have a plan to sign Borussia Monchengladbach star and Manchester United target Denis Zakaria.

Zakaria, 22, has been a standout performer for Monchengladbach this season - helping the side to a four-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.

The Gunners are among the sides looking to snare his signature and have reportedly hatched a plan involving Granit Xhaka.

The Mirror claim Arsenal will offer Xhaka to his former side in January providing they are given first refusal on Zakaria next summer.

Hudson-Odoi to Real Madrid

Real Madrid are considering an approach for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Spanish publication El Desmarque claim Zinedine Zidane has identified the 19-year-old as a top target and Real could launch a bid next summer.

The England international was pursued by Bayern Munich last summer - but talk was dismissed when the teenager signed a five-year deal worth £120k per week.

Now, El Desmarque claim Real Madrid could test Chelsea’s resolve next year.

Cristiano Ronaldo request

Cristiano Ronaldo wants Juventus to complete a deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

That’s according to Spanish newspaper AS, who claim Ronaldo has ‘recommended’ the French international to Juventus executives.

The Italian champions know all about the 26-year-old World Cup winning midfielder, who helped them to four-consecutive Serie A titles before returning to Old Trafford in August 2016 for £89million.

AS claim United would find it difficult to resist a lucrative offer from Juventus, who could offer Danilo, Emre Can, Sami Khedira, Paulo Dybala or Mario Mandzukic to sweeten the deal.

Gunners want Pau Torres

Arsenal are tracking Spanish centre-back Pau Torres, reports claim.

The Gunners are beginning to draw up plans for the January transfer window, with a centre-back thought to be one of their main priorities.

According to The Sun, Torres has been identified as a top target with Emery considering a move for the highly-rated La Liga prospect.

Arsenal know the deal won’t be easy though and they may have to match his £43million release clause to prise him away from El Madrigal.

Sander Berge hint

Liverpool target Sander Berge has dropped a massive transfer hint.

The 21-year-old Norwegian international has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United in recent weeks.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp was reported to have spoken with the Genk midfielder after a recent Champions League encounter.

And his words have clearly done the trick with Berge admitting that he wants to play at Anfield "as much as possible".

"Playing at Anfield is a dream for everyone in the world, and not least for Norwegians," Berge said to TV2. "Liverpool are the best team and have the most fans. So I could certainly like to play at Anfield as often as possible."

Gareth Bale bid

Real Madrid believe Manchester United will make a move for Gareth Bale in January - and finally end his Spanish nightmare.

Bale had not been able to play for Real for a month due to injury but on Saturday night he managed just shy of 60 minutes for Wales as they beat Azerbaijan 2-0 in their Euro 2020 qualifier.

The decision to play for Wales after not playing a single minute for Real for a month has reportedly angered boss Zinedine Zidane.

The Frenchman has had a strained relationship with Bale during his two spells at the Bernabeu and according to The Sun, sources close to the player suggest the Welshman is ready to end his La Liga career, with Real also willing to do business.

Ernesto Valverde replacement

Thierry Henry was Barcelona’s top candidate to replace Ernesto Valverde last season.

That’s according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, who claim the Catalan giants were interested before Henry’s calamitous spell at Monaco.

Henry won just four out of a possible 20 games at the French outfit - conceding 36 goals in the period.

The Arsenal icon has now taken over at MLS side Montreal Impact.

Adam Lallana to PSG

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is wanted by PSG as the Ligue 1 champions look to find a replacement for Edinson Cavani who looks set to make the switch to Major League Soccer.

The 31-year-old is in the final year of his contract with the Reds and would be available to discuss terms with a foreign club in January about securing a free transfer move in the summer.

The Mirror claim PSG see the former England international as an ideal replacement for the out going Cavani.

The report claims Cavani is swapping Paris for Los Angeles to fill the vacant position left by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And the subsequent move could suit Liverpool as it would take Lallana’s substantial wages off their books - money that could be put towards signing Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser.
