Newport midfielder Labadie suspended for Salford clash

Joss Labadie will miss Newport’s first ever clash against Salford through suspension.
The midfielder collected his fifth yellow card of the season after coming on as a second-half substitute in last weekend’s 3-1 loss at Colchester.
County boss Mike Flynn this week spoke up the chances of 18-year-old striker Lewis Collins kicking on and making a first-team impact this season.
The teenager was unused substitute at Colchester, where fellow forward Tristan Abrahams opened the scoring before Newport fell to defeat.
Salford boss Graham Alexander will assess some players having fallen ill in the build-up to Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two encounter.
The Ammies manager has refrained from making many changes recently but admitted “there’s been a little bit of illness with a couple of the players this week”.
That could force Alexander into some personnel changes as he looks for an energetic display in Wales.
Salford goalkeeper Chris Neal will not be available for the match despite returning to training after injury, while defenders Liam Hogan and Jack Baldwin have been sidelined for a while.
