Rebekah Vardy has allegedly threatened Coleen Rooney with legal action over claims she leaked stories about her to the press as the war of the WAGs escalated.

Furious Rebekah Vardy - married to Leicester City striker Jamie - has reportedly warned Coleen: "Believe me or I’ll see you in court."

Wayne Rooney's WAG Coleen, 33, believed that a friend had been leaking stories after a number of private Instagram messages ended up in a British newspaper.

Coleen turned "WAGatha christie" by posting a string of fake stories to her account, including the most recent that her Cheshire mansion had been flooded.

The fabricated stories subsequently appeared in the newspaper, with the WAG claiming only one account had seen the posts.

In a dramatic reveal, Coleen wrote in her statement: "The account was..... Rebekah Vardy's."

Rebekah, 37, has strongly denied the claims and is allegedly prepared to defend herself in court.

A source told The Sun: "She is prepared to see Coleen in court if necessary. Liverpool lass Coleen is now only contacting Vardy through lawyers, with the latter putting together a team of experts in a bid to prove her innocence.

A source close to Coleen responded: “Coleen has had enough of Rebekah's outbursts.

"She is comfortable about the evidence that she has and doesn’t want a big legal fight.”

But a source close to Rebekah fired back: “If Becky needs to prove to Coleen and the world that she hasn’t done anything wrong then she is prepared to see Coleen in court if necessary."

Rebekah has demanded that Coleen hand over the screenshots said to prove that her Instagram profile was the only one used to view the posts leaked to the press.
