FC Halifax saw their lead at the top of the National League cut to goal difference after a 0-0 draw at home to second-bottom Chorley.
Home goalkeeper Sam Johnson had to be alert to keep out an effort from Louis Dodds in the first half.
But it was Chorley goalkeeper Matt Unwin, making his 100th appearance for the club, who was in inspired form to keep the hosts at bay.
He kept out two efforts from Liam McAlinden as well as shots from Danny Williams and Jerome Binnom-Williams, with Josh Staunton and Dayle Southwell missing the target for Halifax.
