Woking stay top after Paul Hodges strike earns a point at Hartlepool

Paul Hodges’ fine late equaliser earned Woking a 1-1 draw at Hartlepool and kept them on top of the National League table.
The hosts went in front on the stroke of half-time when they were awarded a penalty for handball and Liam Noble sent goalkeeper Craig Ross the wrong way from the spot.
But the visitors levelled in style in the 79th minute as Hodges picked out the top left corner with a strike from just outside the area.
The draw left Woking a point clear at the top of the table, ahead of Halifax and Bromley, and ended Pools’ three-match winning run.
