KIDS have been denied the opportunity to bag signatures from their Manchester United heroes outside the club's Carrington training ground.

A large sign has been erected warning fans that players are no longer permitted to stop their vehicles on the road towards the back gate of the complex.

The spot used to be popular with youngsters who would reach out with pens and an autograph book.

But spoilsport officials at Manchester United are clamping down on the sweet tradition.

It reads: "Players are not permitted to stop and sign autographs due to danger on the road. No congregating."

Only yesterday Alexis Sanchez stopped to give local United supporters Fin, 7, and Ollie, 5, his time to take pictures while they waited in the rain.

But the new sign meant there was no excited fans waiting this morning.

They missed a host of first team-team stars arriving in flash cars, as well as chief executive Ed Woodward.

The club supremo was chauffeured into Carrington to check on the squad before their clash with Wolves this weekend.

Nemanja Matic rocked up in his Ferrari while Chilean international Sanchez also arrived despite strong rumours that he could be sold before the European transfer deadline at the end of the month.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to offload his £505,000-a-week wages but it's not proving easy.

SunSport exclusively revealed how Sanchez has stalled over a loan move to Roma for the season.

We also revealed that Sanchez faces being banished from the first-team squad should he stay.

Solskjaer is ready to give Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood more starts this campaign.

Loaning Sanchez, who has a hamstring issue, to Roma, with the Serie A club paying a chunk of his wages, looked like an option when they showed interest.

But they are now looking at Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi as they fear a deal for Sanchez will not be possible.
