PAUL POGBA will become a Real Madrid player next week that could see Gareth Bale head to Manchester United.

That’s the bold claim being made by Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda.

Paul Pogba’s future remains the subject of speculation with the player openly admitting he is keen on a new challenge.

Real Madrid and Juventus remain realistic options for the Frenchman but it’s Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane who is pushing hardest for his signature.

Manchester United are determined to keep hold of their star midfielder with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer due to hold talks with the 24-year-old upon his return to Carrington.

Should the Red Devils be forced to cash in they are demanding around £150m for the World Cup winner.

Real are not willing to pay such a fee and will offer Bale in any potential deal, explains Inda, who reckons an agreement could be struck next week.

“I think that next week, Pogba will be a new Real Madrid player," he said.

"The issue is very advanced, Madrid offers €80m in cash plus Bale, which they estimate is worth €90m.”

Zidane has reportedly made it clear to club president Florentino Perez that he does not want Bale in his squad next season.

Bale has long been linked with a return to the Premier League with United long-term admirers.

However, Bale is adamant he wants to stay at the Bernabeu and fight for his place next term.

United’s stance on Bale is unclear but the club’s approach to signing young, hungry British talent in the form of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka suggests they have moved away from making marquee signings.

Bale would also demand wages similar to Alexis Sanchez’s £500,000-a-week - something the club are reluctant to make a mistake with once more.
