MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should sell eight of the players he picked to start Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to rivals Manchester City.
That's according to former Chelsea and Republic of Ireland striker Tony Cascarino.
United managed to keep Pep Guardiola's side at bay during the first 45 minutes at Old Trafford.
But City were not to be denied their 11th consecutive win through goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane.
The Red Devils mustered just one shot on target in the Manchester derby, with the visitors dominating possession at the Theatre of Dreams.
Cascarino was far from impressed with United's performance, and he named the three players of the XI who he deems are worthy of wearing the shirt next season.
He wrote in The Times: "There are only three I would keep at Old Trafford from the team that played City: De Gea, Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw (if he can get fit).
"Alexis Sánchez would be my first player out of the door and I would hold it open for Pogba to follow him."
United's entire backline would be shipped out this summer if Cascarino had his way.
Ashley Young is well past his best at 34-years-old and although he brings experience, new blood is required at right-back.
Many Manchester United fans are baffled as to how Matteo Darmian is still at the club, but he surely won't be at the start of next season.
Chris Smalling performs well on occasion but has proven himself to be error-prone when under pressure.
Victor Lindelof seems to be a favourite of Solskjaer, but Cascarino would flog him regardless.
Fred has flattered to deceive since his ï¿¡50m arrival from Shakhtar Donetsk and would be seen as no great loss if he was sold.
Andreas Pereira has potential, but does the midfielder really have the quality that United should be aspiring towards?
Jesse Lingard appears to be a fan favourite for his dancing goal celebrations as much as his ability to actually find the net.
He fluffed his lines when handed a chance to score against rivals City which rather summed up United's performance as a whole.
