Leyton Orient’s Vanarama National League lead cut to a point
Posted Sunday, March 31, 2019 by PA
Leyton Orient’s hard-fought 0-0 draw at Barnet was sufficient to keep them at the top of the Vanarama National League table.
Darren Currie’s hosts nearly led when Wes Fonguck found himself clear with only the keeper to beat, but Dean Brill saved superbly with his legs.
At the other end, Orient missed a chance to take the initiative when Josh Coulson headed at goal, but Ephron Mason-Clark was well placed to clear off the line.
Justin Edinburgh’s men continued to strive for the three points but James Brophy could not find the inspiration, curling over.
The two sides cancelled each other out towards the end with the O’s content to remain a point clear of Salford with two games in hand.
