The former Premier League footballer will not be allowed to spend time with his daughter alone

Johnson, 31, is due to leave HMP Moorland near Doncaster after serving half his six-year sentence.

He will be closely watched after his early release today - but spared a criminal tag.

Officials can demand he surrender his phone - with a possible jail recall if he deletes anything without their knowledge.

Johnson, 31, who groomed, kissed and touched a 15-year-old girl, also has bans on time with daughter Ayla, four.

A source said: "Johnson will be treated like any other convicted sex offender. He's a free man, but it comes at a heavy price."

PAEDO WON'T WEAR TAG

Johnson cannot spend time alone with Ayla - a social worker monitoring his every move. He will likely live at a registered address and give details of anywhere else he stays.

The ex-England and Sunderland winger will also have to hand over his bank card details in case he accesses paid-for porn sites.

Johnson was jailed for six years at Bradford crown court in May 2016. It heard he deleted 800 messages between him and his victim, who he is also banned from contacting.

Judge Jonathan Rose said he had caused the girl "severe psychological harm".

Ayla's mum Stacey Flounders, 29, told The Sun on Sunday this month that her ex's lies "destroyed" her life.

His licence conditions kick in this morning as soon as he leaves HMP Moorland near Doncaster, and will last until his full jail term ends in 2022.

He must wait 15 years before he can apply to come off the sex offenders register.

Johnson is reportedly desperate to play football again but has been told he stands no chance in the UK.
