Skipper Tremarco strikes to give Inverness first win in three

Inverness captain Carl Tremarco guided his team back to winning ways for the first time in three games as they edged to a 1-0 win against Morton.
Tremarco got the hosts off to a great start when the defender powered home a header from Liam Polworth’s inswinging corner after 11 minutes.
Morton were almost level two minutes later through Chris Millar’s spectacular drive from 30 yards but home goalkeeper Mark Ridgers produced a fine save to tip his effort over the crossbar, with Brad McKay and Polworth spurning good chances at the other end.
Tremarco almost grabbed his second in the 57th minute when he connected with Sean Welsh’s cross but he was denied by a terrific goal-line clearance from defender Gregor Buchanan.
Polworth and Aaron Doran forced good saves from Ridgers, while Michael Tidser had Morton’s best chance with eight minutes left but blazed over as the visitors’ winless run extended to five matches.
