Scunthorpe striker Novak passed fit for Doncaster clash

Scunthorpe striker Lee Novak will be available for the derby clash with Doncaster.

Novak was rested for the defeat at Gillingham last weekend after picking up a knock in the victory over Accrington, but has been passed fit.

However, Matthew Lund will be out for six weeks after undergoing an operation on his knee injury.

Manager Stuart McCall hopes the surgery will mean Lund can avoid a larger procedure in future.

Doncaster defender Joe Wright looks set to miss the rest of the season after rupturing ankle ligaments in training.

Wright had just worked his way back into first-team contention but suffered the setback in a tackle last Friday.

The 23-year-old was on the bench for the FA Cup tie with Crystal Palace but did not come on during the 2-0 defeat.

In better news for Rovers boss Grant McCann, club captain Andy Butler played 90 minutes for the club’s development side in midweek as the defender nears a return to action.
