That’s according to football finance boffin Kieran Maguire.

The German has been with Arsenal for six seasons now, scoring 41 goals in more than 200 appearances.

But he has not been impressing fans recently, with Good Morning Britain presenter and lifelong Gunners supporter Piers Morgan the latest to slam the 30-year-old.

And the football finance expert has suggested a way the midfielder could leave north London.

Speaking exclusively to Starsport, Maguire said: “They could do some sort of swap deal between him and [Adrien] Rabiot.”

The Paris Saint-Germain star is looking for a move to the Premier League, according to French outlet L’Equipe.

And the football finance guru believes a swap deal with Ozil would benefit both clubs financially,

"It would suit both clubs,” Maguire continued.

"PSG have to tread carefully because of financial fair play issues.

"So if both have got money going out the door, it works for their finances.”

Maguire also said the German could be involved in a swap deal with rivals Manchester United for former Gunners star Alexis Sanchez.

He added: “They’re both around the same age and they’ve both signed huge contracts.

"So I don’t think it would be obscene to see them going in opposite directions.

"I think the issue is both clubs will end up with a player who has not performed at their best this season.

"Would Sanchez be willing to go to London? I think he would,” Kieran added.

"I don’t think he’s necessarily settled in Manchester and would want a fresh challenge.

"And I think Ozil would be as he doesn’t appear to be Emery’s favourite, so he may also feel a new challenge would be for him.”

Unai Emery has very little room to manoeuvre in the January transfer window as Maguire revealed how much he has to spend.
