Barrow battle back to claim deserved point against AFC Fylde

Jack Hindle netted a second-half equaliser as Barrow earned a 1-1 draw at home to AFC Fylde in the National League.
Hindle converted a fine Rhys Norrington-Davies cross from close range – his ninth goal of the season – as Barrow picked up a deserved point.
Fylde defender Luke Burke made a vital clearance to keep out Rhys Turner’s effort as Barrow made a strong start.
But the visitors opened the scoring seven minutes before the break when Andy Bond got on the end of Ryan Croasdale’s cross – the first goal Barrow had conceded in 530 minutes.
Arthur Gnahoua squandered a decent chance to extend Fylde’s lead at the start of the second half before Barrow came close to a leveller in the 54th minute, Dan Jones’ effort from a corner deflecting against a post.
Barrow sub Olly Dyson was denied by Jay Lynch before Hindle restored parity while the keeper made an even better save to keep out Jones’ header late on.
