Manchester City vs Crystal Palace - Injured Silva still sidelined for Man City
Posted Friday, December 21, 2018 by PA
Champions Manchester City are still without playmaker David Silva for the Premier League visit of Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Spaniard has returned to training after missing three games with a hamstring injury but this weekend’s fixture comes too soon.
Captain Vincent Kompany is also out with a knock and defender Danilo remains a doubt while left-back Benjamin Mendy (knee) and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo (Achilles) are long-term absentees.
Cheikhou Kouyate is a doubt for Palace owing to a knock.
Defender Martin Kelly is expected to miss the Etihad Stadium clash due to an adductor muscle strain.
Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has also not recovered from a back spasm, so will miss out too.
