Lucas shines for Tottenham

The reason Lucas has been called-up to the Brazil squad for the first time in over two years is because of his superb start to the season.

After a tough 2017/18 season in which Lucas struggled for game time and form, the winger has hit the ground running this season.

The Brazilian has started in every one of Spurs league games this season and has been instrumental in them having their best start to a season ever.

Lucas has scored three times for Spurs in the league this season.

Once against Fulham and twice as Spurs smashed Manchester United 3-0.

Lucas also won the Premier League player of the month for August.
