Exeter extend unbeaten run with narrow win over Stevenage

Exeter extended their unbeaten run to seven games in all competitions with a narrow 1-0 win over Stevenage, courtesy of Dean Moxey’s goal.
The game was halted on the 15-minute mark due to a medical emergency. A supporter needed urgent attention and was taken away in a waiting ambulance.
When the game restarted, it was the home side who took control and dominated. Jayden Stockley and Nicky Law both went close before the Grecians took the lead deep into first-half stoppage time.
Seny Dieng flapped at a Lee Holmes corner and when the ball was headed back into the box by Law, Hiram Boateng saw a shot blocked, Stockley smashed the rebound against the bar and Moxey was on hand to lash in the loose ball.
Stevenage were the better team after the break but were wasteful with their opportunities and never tested Christy Pym in the Exeter goal.
Their hopes were dealt a blow 10 minutes from time when Luther Wildin picked up a second yellow card and was sent off for bringing down Chiedozie Ogbene, but despite some late possession, they never looked like getting an equaliser.
