John Rooney misses penalty as Solihull beat Barrow

John Rooney missed a penalty deep into stoppage time as Barrow almost pulled off a dramatic comeback in a 2-1 defeat to Solihull.
The game looked to be heading for a goalless draw when Luke Maxwell was on hand to smash in with five minutes remaining after Andy Firth punched a cross into his path.
It looked as though the three points would certainly be heading back to Solihull when Yussuf made no mistake from close range after a Jamie Reckord cross with just a minute of normal time remaining to make it 2-0.
However, with five minutes added on Tyler Smith curled past Ryan Boot to keep the game alive, and the hosts were awarded a penalty minutes later to give them a chance to sneak a point.
Rooney stepped up but could only blast over the bar as Moors clung on to the three points.
