Dundee booked their place in the last 16 of the Betfred Cup thanks to a 2-0 win at home to Brechin on Saturday.
Lewis Spence put the Ladbrokes Premiership side in front after 10 minutes and Paul McGowan doubled the lead just before the hour mark.
Brechin finished the match with 10 men after Callum Tapping was sent off at the death, having picked up a second booking.
Victory ensured the hosts progressed in second place behind Dunfermline in Group D.
