Though getting injured in the Champions League final was a bitter blow for Mohamed Salah, the Egypt and Liverpool front man has told his supporters that he's a fighter and determined to make the World Cup.
He couldn't continue after Sergio Ramos grabbed hold of his arm and then fell on top of him.
"It was a very hard night, but I am a fighter," Salah said on his social networks.
"Despite the odds, I am sure I will be in Russia so that you are all proud.
"Your love and support will give me the strength I need."
According to the medical examination that he was subjected to in Kiev while the final was still being played, he has suffered a clavicular acromio subluxation that will mean three weeks out.
If the diagnosis is accurate, it still gives Salah a chance of making Egypt's first match of the World Cup, which takes place on Friday 15 June against Uruguay.
