Numancia balls up their tribute to Iniesta

With China the next destination for Andres Iniesta, teams across Spain have been clamouring to pay tribute to the veteran midfielder, however Numancia's own attempts went rather awry with an unfortunate image of the La Masia graduate posted.

The Soria based team looked to recognise just what the 33-year-old has given to Spanish football, both with the Blaugrana and the national team.

Numancia posted to their official twitter account an image of Iniesta in battle at their stadium during the 2008/09 season, although it quickly became apparent that the picture selected was somewhat unfortunate.

Within the image, Iniesta was mid-challenge for a loose ball and the camera had picked the exact moment when one of his testicles was on show, as many immediately pointed out with humour on the social network.

A light-hearted apology was quickly tweeted with a replacement image of the veteran playmaker posted instead.

"We ask forgiveness, that was not our intention," they tweeted.

"And now that we have proven that you are phenomenal in looking for Wally, we can only say that, with courage, few people equaled you!"
