Jonathan Grounds back in contention for Birmingham
Posted Friday, March 30, 2018 by PA
Jonathan Grounds could return to the Birmingham squad when the Blues host Ipswich.
The left-back has been sidelined since being carried off on a stretcher in the away win at Sheffield Wednesday in early February.
Midfielder Craig Gardner (hamstring) could also be back in contention and boss Garry Monk will make a decision on his fitness on Friday.
However, on-loan Southampton striker Sam Gallagher has yet to recover from his calf complaint.
Ipswich will play their first game since it was confirmed manager Mick McCarthy will leave at the end of the season.
McCarthy is the longest-serving manager in the Championship after spending six years in charge at Portman Road.
The Yorkshireman could make changes after seeing his side beaten by Bristol City prior to the international break.
Strikers David McGoldrick and Joe Garner remain out and will not return from injury until next season.
