Patrick Bauer is set to be available for Charlton’s Sky Bet League One home clash with Shrewsbury on Saturday.
The defender has been recovering well after being substituted in the 2-1 win at MK Dons last weekend having taken a knock to his left gluteal muscle.
Tariqe Fosu, absent for that game due to a hip problem, could make his return to action, and there may be involvement for Naby Sarr (hamstring) and Lewis Page (Achilles), who have been stepping up their rehabilitation.
Dillon Phillips will be unavailable after suffering concussion while playing for the Under-23s earlier in the week, and Stephy Mavididi (hamstring) and Billy Clarke (knee) remain sidelined.
Defender Max Lowe is a doubt for Shrewsbury due to a slight hamstring problem.
There has been illness in the Shrews camp but boss Paul Hurst on Thursday said “I think we are nearly getting there” in terms of the issue clearing up.
And Jon Nolan, Bryn Morris and Arthur Gnahoua, who all missed the 1-1 draw with Gillingham on Tuesday, could be back involved this time.
Shrewsbury are currently second in the table, a point behind Blackburn, having won only one of their last four games.
