Coventry boss Mark Robins hails Maxime Biamou after victory over Swindon

Coventry boss Mark Robins compared Maxime Biamou to the late Cyrille Regis after his side saw off Swindon 3-1.
Biamou found the net with a great strike in the first half, before Marc McNulty’s brace wrapped up a seventh straight unbeaten home game for the hosts.
Ollie Banks pulled a consolation goal back for the visitors as their three-game winning run came to an end.
Regis, who died this week, spent seven years at the Sky Blues during his career.
And Robins reflected: “Today was a really moving day. It was a great celebration of Cyrille’s life and career.
“I think it was a fitting result and I am sure he will be looking down on us happy this evening.
“It felt like Biamou was (inspired) by Cyrille today. The goal he scored was absolutely top drawer. Hopefully that gives Max a surge of confidence that he can build on.”
Biamou opened the scoring with a cracking strike early in the first half.
And it was 2-0 five minutes later after Matt Preston pulled down match-winner McNulty in the box.
The prolific striker duly fired home from the spot, before Banks pulled one back just before the break.
But McNulty wrapped up the points with a strike of his own after the break.
And Robins added: “That was a terrific team performance.
“They came here and they came to play football so you can’t take anything away from them.
“We withstood the challenge and came away with the points, that’s the important thing.
“We were ruthless with our chances. Swindon are a really potent attacking threat and to deal with them the way we did was pleasing.
“I never felt like we were under any real pressure apart from a 10-minute spell when we were two goals up.
“They ended up with a goal which was disappointing really because our defence got swamped and we dealt with everything before that.”
Swindon suffered as home shot-stopper Lee Burge kept them out when it mattered most.
And manager David Flitcroft praised his side’s performance despite defeat.
He said: “We’ve probably created more chances away from home than we have in two or three games.
“But it’s about being ruthless at the right times.
“We weren’t ruthless enough to go to 2-2 and take the game to win it in our favour.
“I’m disappointed in that aspect and the third goal is something I don’t think my players deserved.
“I’m incredibly disappointed with the result, but it was a front-foot performance.
“We created a lot of chances and I don’t think Coventry have been on the other end of an attack like that for a long time.”
