The France international winger has emerged as a target for the Blues ahead of January.

And a bid is reportedly being considered for the 22-year-old as Antonio Conte looks to strengthen his side.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool both pursued Lemar during the summer.

But he eventually opted to stay in Ligue 1 with Monaco as the two clubs missed out.

A transfer is expected, though, in 2018 with Monaco out of Europe and looking to raise funds.

They are expected to sell to the highest bidder, with Lemar valued at £80m.

And on the race, a Ladbrokes spokesperson said: "If there's any justice in the world, Lemar will secure a move to the Premier League in the coming months.

"But with Chelsea now favourites to sign him, Gooners will have one message for Wenger when it comes to the race for the youngster's signature: Don't Give It Up."

Chelsea's odds have soared to 6/4, making them frontrunners.

London rivals Arsenal are listed as second favourites at 2/1, having seen their £92m move collapse on deadline day in the summer.

Liverpool remain interested, though, despite their array of attacking talents and need for defensive reinforcements.

The Reds are available at 7/2 to lure Lemar to Anfield, but it appears Chelsea could be his next club.
