The Gabon international is poised to leave Dortmund when the transfer window opens next month despite scoring 17 times in 19 games this campaign.

He has been involved in a series of controversial incidents after Dortmund rejected a transfer request from him in the summer.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has got Aubameyang on his wanted list but Liverpool are also keen on bringing him to the Premier League.

Aubameyang was suspended by Dortmund earlier in the season after arriving late for training and was then sent off against Schalke last weekend.

And it seems that he will finally get his wish to leave the club granted after Dortmund who were 4-0 when he was dismissed were pegged back at 4-4.

The Reds are expected to enter the transfer market as they look to join Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United to hoping Manchester City slip up.

While they could lose England striker Daniel Sturridge to AC Milan as he looks to bolster his claims for a place in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad.

Klopp is also understood to be keen on signing a goalkeeper this winter as well as a central defender with Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk still on his wanted list.
