Robinho is sentenced to nine years in prison for sexual abuse

Former Manchester City, Milan and Real Madrid footballer Robinho has been sentenced to nine years in prison by a Court in Milan, for an episode of sexual abuse perpetrated in 2013.
The assault, according to the Court, was against an Albanian girl, who at the time of the event - January 22, 2013 - was 22 years old.
Five other people were apparently involved, Italian agency ANSA has reported.
Robinho is currently at Atletico Mineiro, a club that he arrived at in 2016 after playing for Guangzhou Evergrande in China.
Previously, he wore the shirts of Santos (2002-05, 10/11 and 14/15), Real Madrid (between 2005 and 2008), Manchester City (from 2008 to 2010) and Milan (from 2010 to 2014).
With Brazil he was capped 42 times, in which he won two Confederations Cups and one Copa Amarica.
